LATE REGISTRATIONS
Players wishing to still come out need to contact Coach Patrick at dashawn.patrick@icloud.com. It is up to the individual coach of each sport to decide if they can incorporate late additions to their program.
Team Dinners/Game Refreshments
Dinners
One of the ways to help freshmen acclimate to the team and build camaraderie is to host a few dinners during the season. Dinners can be held at a home or local park (if the weather is good). Consider hosting with another family and allow the boys to hang out without hitting each other!
Game Refreshments
Consider bringing water, electrolyte drinks, or healthy protein snacks to games to help our boys recovery quicker! Your class parent will help organize this. Just let them know!
Meet Coach Patrick
Greeting Parents of Jackson Freshman Football,
My name is Dashawn Patrick. I am the head coach of the Jackson freshman football team this year. Although, this is my inaugural season with the football program, I have been a part of the Jackson High athletic family for some time now. Currently I am the Head Varsity Assistant Coach for the Jackson Baseball team since 2013 and since 2015 I've also served as the Head Coach of the JV Baseball team.
As a coach, I prioritize relationships and care about each player beyond their statistics. Athletes come in all shapes, sizes and talent levels. My job is to make sure athletes know our relationship does not fluctuate based on their stats. I am invested in their lives as a mentor, teacher, and their coach. Obviously, I love to win and am very competitive as well. I believe winning is a product of doing things right, working hard, and competing as one unit.

Coach
We all play a significant role on this team. Let's work together to make this a successful 2017 Frosh season!
-
READ THIS FLYER - It has great freshman practice specific information for incoming players.
-
Practice starts at 3:00 PM. Players should check in at the locker room at 2:30 to get ready.
-
New WIAA rules limit us to 2 full contact days per week. Right now we are aiming for Mondays and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be helmets and shorts.
-
Bring Cleats. Bring Mouth Guard. Bring Water!
-
New WIAA Rules also state that players must have 12 practices completed before their first contest. That means players cannot miss a day! If they do, we will only have one make up day on September 2nd.
-
Wednesdays are Game Days! The day before our October 11th home game we plan to have a team dinner. Keep an eye out for more information coming soon!
-
The Frosh Game Schedule may be found on the Wesco Site HERE

If parents want to volunteer or just help us cheer them on... please let me know!
Purpose of Class Parent Reps
Class Parents are part of the boosters program. They help bring their team together and serve as a bridge between the boosters, players, and their parents.
